John founded Vantora and leads its model for building AI-native companies and capabilities with large enterprises. Before launching the company as UP.Labs in 2022, he was a Managing Director and Partner at BCG Digital Ventures, where he opened the London center and served on the global Investment Committee. Earlier, he co-founded IQzone. His career has centered on building new businesses around consequential problems and creating the teams and structures needed to scale them.

Patrick Pettay

CFO & Head of Services

Patrick leads finance and services at Vantora, drawing on more than two decades of experience across operations, growth, finance and company building. Before Vantora, he worked with portfolio companies and new ventures at Dunes Point Capital and co-founded Melody. Earlier roles included leadership positions at InMobi and Fox Networks Group. Patrick studied at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and has built his career around scaling businesses and improving operating performance.

Louis Matthews

President, Construction, Manufacturing & Head of Methodology

Louis leads Vantora’s manufacturing and construction labs, and manages the methodology structure Vantora utilizes to develop ventures with our corporate partners. He is a venture builder and corporate innovation leader who has launched and scaled multiple venture-backed companies. His work centers on identifying consequential operating problems inside large industrial businesses and building new companies around them. Before Vantora, Louis worked in corporate venture building and innovation across several industries, giving him experience at the intersection of established enterprises, emerging technology and zero-to-one company creation.

Sid Shah

President

Sid Shah is President of Vantora, where he partners with Fortune 100 Essential industries to co-build AI-native companies against their hardest operating problems. Sid spent seven years on the founding team of BCG Digital Ventures, serving as Managing Director & Partner and head of the global Energy practice as the platform scaled to 1,000+ people across 8 centers and launched 250+ ventures. Earlier, he co-founded HRX (in India) which was acquired by Walmart and has had leadership positions across consulting, hospitality, and non-profit. He holds an MBA from Kellogg and Sasin (in Thailand) and has a patent in fetal heart monitoring.

Stefan Teulon

President of Aviation Ventures

Stefan leads Vantora’s aviation ventures, taking opportunities from problem discovery through company formation and first customer. A repeat founder and product leader, he previously served as Chief Product Officer at Bigtincan, where he helped scale the business and led the product and technology side of a major acquisition. His experience covers enterprise software, AI and zero-to-one company building. Stefan holds a degree in Management Sciences from Loughborough University.

Rob Patrick

Head of Studio

Rob leads Vantora’s technical studio as well as the COSMOS platform, and has worked as a technologist, founder, investor and board member. He has built and sold a software services company, launched venture-backed businesses and developed technology solutions across multiple industries. He leads the COSMOS platform, the agentic platform that transforms enterprise data into an intelligence fabric. Rob holds a BS in Computer Science and an Executive MBA from UCLA.

Alejandro leads business and growth work across Vantora ventures, helping connect new companies to the commercial realities of the markets they are built to serve. His work sits at the intersection of venture formation, enterprise partnership and growth, alongside founders, product teams and operators. He helps shape go-to-market strategy and the path from an enterprise problem to a viable new business.

Allen Hendricks

Venture Head of Engineering

Allen is an engineering leader and venture builder who takes companies from early concept through scalable execution. Before Vantora, he served as interim CTO for multiple early-stage ventures, shaping technical strategy, forming teams and taking products into production. He has more than 15 years of experience across startups, venture studios and growth-stage companies and has been part of two successful exits. His work centers on the zero-to-one stage, where early technical choices matter most.

Amin is a product and experience leader whose work connects physical products, digital experiences and venture creation. His background includes automotive and consumer technology, with experience across industrial design, interaction design and product development. At Vantora, Amin works with founders, engineers and enterprise operators to translate complex problems into products people can use and businesses that can scale.

André leads engineering and serves as a Venture CTO at Vantora. A software engineer and entrepreneur with more than two decades of experience, he has built technology businesses and products across AI, healthcare, payments, industrial technology and energy. Before Vantora, André was a Venture CTO at BCG Digital Ventures and a technology founder. His career has centered on turning complex business problems into products and platforms designed to operate at scale.

Ankita Chadha

Venture Head of Product

Ankita is a product leader and technologist who builds new businesses with large enterprises. Before Vantora, she was a Lead Product Manager at BCG Digital Ventures, where she led zero-to-one products including a flexible warehousing solution with UPS, an optimization platform for greenhouse growers and a digital wallet for underbanked customers in Mexico. Ankita combines product strategy, technology and cross-functional venture building. She earned her BSE in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania.

Venture Science Lead

Antwoine leads venture science work at Vantora, applying machine learning, experimentation and advanced analytics to complex enterprise problems. He began his career in neuroscience before moving into quantitative finance, business analytics and data science. His work connects scientific rigor with practical business decisions, using data to uncover opportunities and improve operating outcomes. Antwoine holds a PhD in Medical Science with a concentration in Neuroscience from the University of South Florida and a BS from Tuskegee University.

Brice is a founding engineer at Vantora, working at the earliest stage of company creation to turn new venture concepts into functioning products. He works alongside product leaders, founders and enterprise partners as ideas move from problem definition through prototype and build. His role sits at the center of Vantora’s zero-to-one model, where engineers help shape not only the technology, but the product and company being created.

Carrie leads People at Vantora, helping build people operations processes and culture behind both Vantora and the companies it creates. Her work covers the people systems and processes needed to support a fast-moving venture environment. She takes a builder’s approach to the function, developing new ways to retain and support exceptional talent. Carrie studied at San Francisco State University.

Chris is General Counsel at Vantora, advising the company and its ventures across formation, financings, governance, transactions and growth. Before joining Vantora, he practiced corporate and securities law and was a two-time founder and early employee at venture-backed NLand Surf Park. He began his legal career at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. Chris combines legal expertise with firsthand experience building companies and earned his JD from Duke University School of Law.

Her background includes workplace operations, employee experience and hospitality. Before joining the company, he worked in corporate innovation and venture building at Boston Consulting Group and in early-stage investing at Necessary Ventures. His experience combines product strategy, venture creation and company building, with an emphasis on moving from validated problem to market. Henry earned his BA in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Jackson leads executive and internal recruiting at Vantora, helping build teams for both the company and the ventures it creates. His work focuses on finding portfolio CEOs, technologists, and builders who can operate with ownership in early-stage environments. At Vantora, he recruits across technical, product and internal executive roles where the ability to create from zero matters as much as functional expertise.

Jacob is a product manager and venture builder working across product strategy and operations at Vantora. Before joining the company, he worked in strategy and operations within BCG X, including work in energy and industrial goods, and earlier held a business development role at HBO. His experience combines product development, operating discipline and venture formation. Jacob studied business at the University of New Mexico.

Jess is a General Manager at Vantora, bringing experience across strategy, operations and company building. Before Vantora, she held operating leadership roles at NVA and spent several years at Bain & Company as a consultant and case team leader. She began her career in engineering and construction at Kiewit, giving her experience inside complex physical operations as well as business strategy. Jess earned her MBA from Columbia Business School.

Joe leads design at Vantora, working across product design, user experience and venture development. Before Vantora, he led product work at Wonderment Apps, managing teams across design, product and engineering. His experience includes SaaS, entertainment, gaming, financial services, healthcare and other digital products. Joe works closely with founders and product teams to turn complex business and user requirements into clear experiences that can be prototyped, tested and built.

Jonathan leads people and special operations at Vantora, helping build the teams and processes behind both the company and its ventures. His work covers talent acquisition, people strategy, and creating operational process in internal AI transformation and business development to scale. At Vantora, he helps identify and attract experienced builders, builds processes to amplify lead generation, and implements processes that help both the parent and Vantora’s portfolio.

Jordan leads marketing and communications at Vantora. He has more than 15 years of experience across brand strategy, performance marketing, venture building and B2B growth. Before Vantora, he was a Group Account Director at Prophet, a Corporate Venture Building Lead at BCG Digital Ventures and co-founder of Tapin2, a venture-backed technology company. Jordan earned his BA in Cultural Anthropology from UC Berkeley and an MA in Urban Planning from UCLA.

His background combines large-scale operations and new business creation across transportation and retail. Before Vantora, Kyle led turnaround and launch operations for Amazon Logistics during the pandemic and drove strategic initiatives at FULLBEAUTY Brands after beginning his career at Accenture. He earned his BS from the University of Virginia and MBA from Harvard Business School.

Her background includes executive support and production work, giving her experience operating in environments where priorities move quickly and details matter.

Max is a technology leader with more than 15 years of experience across software engineering, architecture, AI and engineering management. Before Vantora, he spent more than a decade at Akvelon, ultimately serving as Director of Engineering and leading work across mobile, cloud and machine learning. His technical background also includes computer vision and open-source development. At Vantora, Max applies that depth to the architecture and development of new AI-native companies and capabilities.

Niall is a product builder focused on turning early ideas into investable, scalable businesses. His work covers B2B software, AI, mobility and aviation, with an emphasis on navigating the uncertainty of zero-to-one product development. He has built products and ventures across multiple markets and operating environments, bringing a global perspective to company creation. At Vantora, Niall works alongside founders, engineers and enterprise operators to turn consequential problems into products and businesses.

Raj is an engineering leader focused on building software products around meaningful customer problems. Before Vantora, he joined Clari as one of its earliest employees and spent nine years helping scale the company from Series A to more than 800 employees. He launched multiple products that became significant sources of recurring revenue and also advises climate technology company Planette AI. Raj holds an MS from Arizona State University and a BE from Anna University.

Sunny leads product at Vantora, with experience across enterprise software, manufacturing technology and consumer products. Before Vantora, he held product leadership roles at Fleetio and First Resonance and worked in product at Procore, Headspace and LinkedIn. His career has centered on products that connect user needs with complex operating and technical environments. Sunny earned both undergraduate and graduate engineering degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.

Ted is a founding software engineer and technical architect with 15 years of experience building complex systems from zero to one. He works across product vision, architecture and execution, helping early teams move from concept to production. As a founding engineer at Realm, Ted partnered directly with the founders to build the initial prototype, win early customers and establish the engineering foundation and team. He brings the same hands-on approach to new ventures at Vantora.

Venture Head of Product

Tyler is a product leader with more than a decade of experience taking startups from initial concept through scale. Before Vantora, he led product at Stageverse and built a fitness app and creator platform at Samsung NEXT. He also served on the founding team of Everguard.AI at BCG Digital Ventures, applying AI and computer vision to industrial safety. Tyler holds a BA and Master of Accountancy from the University of Washington.
